Maria de Bueil
About
At the age of 19 Maria is admitted to L’école des Beaux-Arts in Paris where she spends many years, immersed in French culture. After graduating, she is starting to build her career as an artist and finds a gallery in Vancouver, Canada, which will represent her for the next few years. She lives in Vancouver, paints large canvases and prepares several solo shows in Paris, Vancouver and Warsaw.
At this point, her life takes a slight detour and Maria is taking a break from her artistic career so she can focus on being a mom. While being a mom to 4 little artists Maria keeps drawing for personal projects and makes illustrations for private commissions. She also discovers the beauty of picture book art while reading to her children. This inspires her to create her own books.
Currently, Maria is working on two picture books as well as preparing a new series of paintings for an upcoming solo exhibition.
